Midvale is a city in Salt Lake County, Utah. It is a large suburban community located about 10 miles west of Salt Lake City along Interstate 15.

According to the United States Census Bureau of 2000, Midvale has a population of more than 27,000 people. The city has a total area of 5.8 square miles with a population density of over 4,500 people per square mile. It is located at high altitudes of over 4,300 feet above sea level.

The racial demographics of Midvale are 82.44% White, 1.18% African American, 1.29% Native American, 1.85% Asian, 0.58% Pacific Islander, 9.96% from other races, and 2.71% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race are 20.77% of the population.

Midvale has more than 6,500 households. The median income for a household in the city is $40,130, and the median income for a family is $43,322.

Midvale is home to the headquarters of Arctic Circle Restaurants, a fast food chain with over 75 restaurants in multiple states.
